Here’s the compatibility gotcha hunters should know: the SL3000 keypad part number is stamped on the back of the faceplate, usually EL-KP3 or EL-KP4, and the intercom board says EL-IC2. The SL3600 uses a combined part marked EL-KPIC. If your gate was installed before 2012, you’re almost certainly on the older split system. If you plug an SL3600 keypad into an SL3000 controller, you’ll burn out the keypad instantly. We identify the part by reading the label at the bottom of the controller board, not from memory.
